Mary Brown`s Chicken in Red Deer

Pretty good food only thing is I got someone else's order and didn't realize until I got home, and was half way through my lunch break. Tried calling with no success, usually pretty good when they get my order right....

I would like to know is the chicken halal? I always go and had great experience in there but never seen any halal signs or written prove.

Big pieces of chicken. Fast service. Tasty and was fresh. Staff was super friendly. The happiest the wife had been in years. Trust me nothing makes her happy. Well, If they served whiskey I might have even got some.

This place is terrible service. everytime I go in here the lady is a jerk because she can’t perform her job right. they definitely shouldn’t even have a phone as they don’t actually take your order and completely waste your time when you try to phone in and place an order so an individual doesn’t have to wait over 2 hrs for 8 peice meal.. what a joke of a restaurant.. ohh but the food ain’t bad..

A better quality fried chicken joint than the standards. The food is good, and prices aren't too bad, especially if you pick up one of their daily special. It's not a huge location, and when they get really busy, service can often slow to a standstill, it seems, and you can sometimes be waiting for your food for longer than expected. Friendly staff - clean lobby.

Crunchy and non greasy chicken, large portions, and great coleslaw. My first time trying Mary Brown's, not bad but not all that good either. I found the chicken and taters to basically bland, nothing special. The gravy was a brown, beef stock base, which seemed odd with a chicken meal. The one good part was the coleslaw. Very fresh and definitely made in store, reminded me of my mother's coleslaw from when I was a kid.Overall not bad but if they were to punch up the taste with more herbs and spices used on the chicken and the taters and make a real chicken gravy it would be a much more flavorful meal.

Such a good meal. The price is good & my food came out quick. The Big Mary is soooo good!! It’s juicy, crunchy and not greasy at all. Very simple and delicious.

Delicious chicken and potato wedges! Not as greasy as KFC.

First time visit.Tried the Big Mary. Much better than any piece of chicken I have ever had.No more KFC for me.They got me hooked. So much for my new year's resolation of eating healthier this year.

The clerk was very friendly and efficient.Clean establishment.Such good food!!!I ordered the chicken, coleslaw, taters and taters poutine. The coleslaw was so fresh. Everything else was excellent. I will be going back again😊

Every time we have called ahead to place our order for pick up, we get there (usually 25 minutes after we call) and the happily take out money and then tell us it isn’t ready yet. Both times that that is happened we have waited 30-40 (or more) minutes in store. Once they get busy they get completely scattered and have no system or organization to handle orders.

Well now. A fried chicken place that I don't sit on the throne after eating...lol. Prices are comparable to other establishments. I really like the taters too. Well done Mary Brown's

Wow! Their chicken burger is amazing. If you havent tried it, you should. We didnt realize it but we showed up right before closing and they treated us great and the food was fresh.

We were so happy so see a new chicken fast food in town we actually ate there quite often just to see the mini brown shrinking and shrinking keeping the same price thou. Very disappointed, too bad cause it was quite good.

Food is always A+ . Front counter always seems way to busy for one person . Walk ins phone ins , on line orders . Could keep two people busy for sure

Last time i bought from here there was a not so good of a taste of the chicken and taters, so now i go to the sylvan lake one best chicken and taters ,always always fresh love it there .

Amazing was my first time trying it and I'm going to make it a weekly thing now was so dam good.

Worst experience here tonight. Ordered a wrap and some taters and have waited more than 35 minutes, and as I am typing this still waiting for my order. Almost everyone inside sitting down have been waiting longer for simple orders. When I ordered there was no indication I would be waiting this long for an order. What appears to have happened was several Skip the Dishes orders that were ahead or put as a priority ahead of the customers in store. The only good part will be the quality of the food.

Horrible wait time! I ordered 2 big Mary meals for myself and my daughter. We waited over half an hour for our meals, and when we finally received our food, everything except the gravy was luke warm at best!

Love Mary Brown's. You can taste the freshness. When it comes to fried chicken, Mary Brown's tastes good and no gut rot like another fried chicken place tends to give you. The pop ins are delicious and I recommend the Big Mary with spicy mayo.

The food we got today was not at all fresh and cripsy. Was soggy and definetly not made today. Was very disappointed.

Love Mary Brown's.So, the only reason I'm giving 3-stars is because they messed up the order, which I only realized once I opened the boxes at home.I wasn't rushed while ordering, which is always a bonus.Had a big order for 4 souls, so the wait was reasonable.The only mistake, they put chicken pop-ins in my box of taters, only a few, but they did.Now it was okay for me to pluck them out, but my vegetarian friends didn't find this funny.

My brother recommended this place to me. Although the GPS led me to the alley brhind the store for some reason, i was not disappointed by the food or service. Love fried chicken? This place is definitely worth a visit.

A little more then KFC but worth the extra cost. The pieces are bigger and aren't sitting in a warmer all day.

The worst we ever had.Chicken was not coated properly!Under cooked!Cut up wrong!Way to much chili sauce on the small chicken bits. Looked like soup.They said they had a new cook but had no experience!Called to complain got no where.I'll have to call back to talk to a manager.

Awesome ! The woman working the counter (by her self) at 5:30 on Friday night was honestly incredible to watch. She handled a line up, more skip orders than I could could count and the phone. I have to commend her for job well done. Just a bonus that the food was also great.
